she feels that people can be their truest selves in these moments.
to share the quirks of life with random fellow americans is somehow thrilling to her.
My 2 cents.....Be it right or wrong, good or bad, If it doesn't sit well with YOU and you have told her so and she still wants to do it? Then I would say she will not care about your feelings in the future either. Either get used to it or start looking for someone who wants to live within your boundries of comfort. I would not want someone "I LOVE" to have to worry about any possible problems that might arise. Innocent as it may be.

ok..many of you read what happened..our house was egged and so was my sisters car that was parked here, and "frosty" was attacked!!
Did any of them once offer to pay restitution for the damages to Frosty and your time cleaning the egg up? They are way to old for this kind of prank.
If the one guy did say it was because you were celebrating Christmas (because you left the borg) then I would consider it a hate crime. The neighbors did get really cold to you once the decorations went up. I think it was premeditated also (around the card game). The neighbor couldn't bring himself to do it so he went up to tend to the kids, how convenient. "I know nu-ting".
You have to live next to these people and things could get nasty. Vandalizism is definatly punishable, but hate (intolerance) was the real motive. Can you go after just the visitors and not the neighbor?
our friend hambeak just got the most dreaded phone call from his jw child.
the news was passed on as he was asked for by name and not as"dad" and let known that "they" just called to let him know that his other son, brian, age 26, is dead.
he was in a car accident.

just had a buddy up to the ranch.this is his story:.....a friend of mine saw his dog with a dead animal in his mouth covered in dirt..it was a dead bunny..not any dead bunny..this was the nieghbours family pet bunny..my friend was shocked and didn`t know what to do.he knew the nieghbours would get very upset that his dog had killed their pet bunny..the nieghbours weren`t home right now,so he came up with a plan..he cleaned the dirt off of the dead bunny and put it back in it`s pen and hurried home..a little while later,the nieghbours came home..a few days later my friend and his nieghbour had a chat..the nieghbour was angry and upset..the nieghbour said:"last week our family pet bunny died.the kids were upset and cried.so me and the mrs thought we`d have a funeral for the bunny with the kids and give it a nice burial..well,a few days ago,some sick bastard dug the bunny out of the grave and put it in it`s pen."..lol!

when i was four, i believed that my life could be painfully and tortuously taken from me, in a ball of flame, crashing down from the heavens, just while i sitting down to a bowl of oatmeal in the morning.. when i was nine, i believed that my life, as i then knew it, would be drastically altered, that i would be tortured for being a jw, and after suffering for who knows how long, i would die (because i still hadn't lived up to jehovah's expectations).. when i was 13, i wanted to be a nuclear physicist-because it sounded cool, but in the meantime i believed that i would die in armageddon because i wanted to go to college, get really educated, and have a great, "worldly" life.. when i was 15, i felt guilty that i hoped armageddon would never come, because i so desperately wanted to go to college.. when i was 17, i was offered an honors early admissions in a prestigious program in a highly regarded engineering program.
my mother flat out said, "no!".
when i was 18, i scuttled semi-secretly to the local university, part-time, trying to hide my daily activities without actually lying to anyone.. when i was 19 i quit pretending and disassociated.
Wow, Shoshana......What an accomplishment. I hope you can enjoy a little down time after all that hard, hard work.

how clean is your house?.
i just love this show.. kim and aggie run into some pretty disturbing homes i must admit.
i am certainly not on the list of the most disgusting homes but, dont have the most organized house on the street..... i like cleanliness in all parts of my home( cat litter empted, dishes cleaned, bathroom area very sanitary, floors cleaned, carpets vacuumed, garbage emptied if full, candles burning, the furniture and carpet deodorized daily, the dog has to be bathed regular, ash trays dumped and cleaned every time i finish smoking in the back room, and finally, the supper dishes must be done before i go to bed... i could not give two sh*ts if the bed did not get made properly, the kids room has dirty laundry on it or all their junk, they dont have their beds made every day, the computer desk has bills/papers lying on it, the cats/dogs food runs out of dish, there is a cob web up in the corner of the living room, ( thats a great decoration for this time of the year anyways...lol) the wires are showing from the t.v and dvd player, there are a few pairs of shoes at the door at not put away on the shoe rack, there is a coat on the back of a chair instead of hung up, and the pillows and blankets are scattered all over the couch for comfort (at night only, not during the day unless it is the weekend).
On a scale of 1-10 I'm a # 6 pack rat. We work and are busy running all the time so just seem to come home long enough to make a mess. On the weekends my husband and I do a 1-2-3 GO. We spend one hour cleaning as much as we can as fast as we can.
When company is coming the place gets a really good going over. I just really don't have that much company. We like a clean organized house but just won't spend alot of time making it that way. I do keep the germs to a minimum tho.
i've only started into my second week at this new job.
its in another city, but i live in the end of town thats closest to that other city.
from my drive way to the job is less than 25 km.
You could tell the guy that you really had not planned on taking on a second job...but you would if you had too. Make it worth your trouble, say $100.00 a week. When he laughs at you hysterically say "I thought so too but if you could be in front of my house when I leave I will be glad to take you". He wants you to be a Taxi so charge him for it.
Really you are not obligated to get this guy to work and back. He should not expect it either. It never hurts to ask though. Just say "NO" without guilt.

Or maybe we could have a world wide letter / card campaign sending them our condolences and give them support, many on this board know how they are feeling. Wouldn't that be something alot of sympathizers sending them cards from all over the world. Do they have the white pages in England?
